Exum builds instruments and software ecosystems to increase the speed of materials development and discovery, offering easy access to high performance at a low cost. Exum’s first instrument, the Massbox^TM, is the first commercial Laser Ablation Laser Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (LALI-TOF-MS), capable of analyzing any solid material—precisely, rapidly, and inexpensively. From manufacturing to resource extraction, numerous industries require chemical characterization of their solid materials, however, they lack in-house capabilities. Until now, no single instrument offers high-sensitivity measurement of the full periodic table, ease-of-use for solid materials, and low-cost operations.
